Canicattì, city of grapes

If the Sicilian cuisine, and therefore that of Agrigento, contains real triumphs in gastronomy and delights our palates, what would a banquet be, with dishes and delicacies "giurgintane", if everything was not expertly washed down with the "nectar of the gods "; the fruit of our vineyards? The production of wine grapes in the province of Agrigento, Sicily is second only to Trapani, which traditionally has always been first. Today, it is the first in production of "table grapes", with its famous "Italian Grape" grown in the countryside of Canicattì. Here, the land, plains and hills, between the Platani river and Salso favors growth, cultivating this precious exported grape.
